Need help with an order, shipping or choosing the right fishing tackle? We’ve answered some of our most common questions below. Ebb Tide Tackle is an Australian specialist fishing tackle store based in Warrnambool, Victoria, offering quality tackle, specialist brands and genuine advice to help you choose the right gear.
- Is everything shown on the website actually in stock?Yes. Products shown as in stock are available and ready to order. Occasionally stock levels can change quickly, particularly with popular, limited-release or hard-to-source products. Some specialist items, including selected Howk Rods, can be pre-purchased while on backorder.
- Can you help me choose the right fishing tackle?Absolutely. Specialist tackle advice is a big part of what we do. If you're unsure about a lure, rod, hook, leader, line or other tackle, contact us and tell us what you're targeting and the gear you're using. We'll help point you in the right direction.
- Can you source fishing tackle that isn't listed on your website?Sometimes. We work with specialist fishing tackle brands and suppliers in Australia and overseas. If you're chasing something specific, get in touch and we'll see if we can source it for you.
- An item I want is out of stock. Will you be getting more?Usually, but some specialist and imported products have limited or irregular availability. If there's something you're waiting for, contact us and we'll let you know if we expect more stock.
- Do you have a physical tackle shop I can visit?Ebb Tide Tackle is primarily an online specialist fishing tackle store. We also have a showroom in Warrnambool, Victoria, which is available by appointment.
- Can I pick up my order?Yes, local pickup can be arranged from our Warrnambool showroom. Please contact us to organise a suitable time. As another alternative, we also offer Free Local Delivery to Warrnambool area.
- Where do you ship within Australia?We ship fishing tackle Australia-wide, including regional and remote areas. Available shipping options and costs are shown at checkout.
- Do you ship fishing tackle internationally?Yes. We ship eligible fishing tackle to selected international destinations. Available international shipping options will depend on the products and destination. If you wish to purchase a rod, please contact us directly for a shipping quote.
- How much does shipping cost?Orders over $200.00 receive FREE Express Post Australia wide (excluding rods and bulky items). For orders under $200, we offer $9.95 Flat Rate Parcel Post or $13.95 Flat Rate Express Post. Fishing Rods & Bulky Items are shipped for a flat rate of $50 via Direct Freight Express Couriers. We also offer free local delivery within Warrnambool Victoria, 3280.
- How quickly will my order be dispatched?We aim to get orders packed and dispatched as quickly as possible., with most orders packed and processed within 24 hours. Occasionally, processing times may vary slightly during weekends, public holidays, promotions and particularly busy periods.
- How can I track my order?Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive tracking information directly from the shipping provider, usually Australia Post or Direct Freight Express. (Check you junk or spam folder if you cannot see it)
- Can I change or cancel my order after I've placed it?Contact us as soon as possible. If your order hasn't already been processed or dispatched, we'll do our best to make the requested change.
- Can I return or exchange an item?Yes, subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy and your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Please check our Returns & Refunds page for full details or contact us if you're unsure.
- What should I do if my order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect?Contact us as soon as possible with your order number, details of the issue and, where relevant, a few photos. We'll work with you to get the problem resolved as quickly as possible.
- How do I know if a lure, hook or other tackle will suit my setup?Check the specifications on the product page first, but if you're unsure, ask us before ordering. Tell us the species you're targeting and your rod, reel, line or lure setup. We'll help you work out whether it's suitable. And if it isn't, we'll recommend a better option for you.
