SurfCoast Wind On Needle Kits

Make your own wind on leaders and splice lines with full wind on needle kits! Wind On Needle Kits designed and manufactured right here in Australia and sets a new benchmark for quality and usability. These needles are made from 316 stainless steel, and have a number of design characteristics that set them apart from other needles on the market.

What makes them better?

• Slightly rounded point to prevent the needle point from catching or piercing fibres
• Highly polished tip that enables the needle to glide effortlessly through the hollow core/dacron
• Long / Smooth taper to help spread the hollow core when being fed onto the needle
• Long needle body for improved handling and control when splicing
• Long slim loop on all loop needles that fit through narrow braid / Dacron without modification

Large Kit: 7 Needle Kit (60-370lb)

• 1x Loop Needle – for splicing loops in hollow core braid or Dacron
• 6x Pipe Needles – for splicing leader lines from 60-370lb (see note below*) with inner diameter ID: 0.87, 1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.45, 1.68mm)
• Storage Pouch – made from rigid PU leather for safe needle storage
• Line Reference Chart – to help you choose the correct needle and line combination

Small Kit: 3 Needle Kit (80-200lb)

• 1x Loop Needle – for splicing loops in hollow core braid or Dacron
• 2x Pipe Needles – for splicing leader lines from 80-200lb (see note below*) with inner diameter ID: 1.0 and 1.2mm)
• Storage Pouch – made from rigid PU leather for safe needle storage
• Line Reference Chart – to help you choose the correct needle and line combination
